Grilled fish with steamed veggies in white sauce….a weekday dinner for two

Few things pair as well as potatoes with peas and fish with lime. Add some broccoli and carrots to the peas and potatoes and a dash of pepper to the fish and lime and boom you have a quick dinner for two, when you’re pressed for time.

Fish with vegetables in white sauce

Begin with marinating the fish in lime, salt, pepper and a pinch of garam masala. Leave the marinated fish for around an hour.

But I wasn’t pressed for time, so I decided to put together a quick white sauce for the veggies:

Roast flour with some butter and add milk, some sauteed garlic, salt and pepper, and stir together till the sauce achieves a smooth consistency. Season with herbs as per taste.

Dunk the steamed veggies into the sauce and give it a whirl. Grill the fish on a skillet and plate up.

Serve with lime wedges. Enjoy!
